My country is Bangladesh. It is a small but beautiful country in South Asia. The capital of Bangladesh is Dhaka. It became independent in 1971 after a long war of liberation. The national flag of Bangladesh is green with a red circle in the middle. The people of my country are very friendly and hardworking. The main language of our country is Bangla. Our national poet is Kazi Nazrul Islam. Rabindranath Tagore wrote our national anthem. Bangladesh is mainly an agricultural country. The main crops are rice, jute, tea, and wheat. The Padma, Jamuna, and Meghna are the main rivers. Our country has many beautiful places. Cox’s Bazar is the longest sea beach in the world. The Sundarbans is famous for the Royal Bengal Tiger. The natural beauty of my country attracts many tourists. The climate of Bangladesh is warm and humid. We have six seasons in a year. Our people celebrate many festivals with joy. The main religions are Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity. People live here in peace and harmony. I love my country very much. I am proud to be a Bangladeshi. I always wish for the peace and progress of my motherland.
