Definition

• যে word কোনো verb (কীভাবে, কোথায়, কখন, কতটুকু ইত্যাদি), কোনো adjective অথবা অন্য adverb-এর দোষ-গুণ নির্দেশ করে, তাকে adverb বলে।

Example

• She runs quickly. → (সে দ্রুত দৌড়ায় – কীভাবে দৌড়ায়? এর উত্তর দেয়।)

Meaning

• English: at a short distance away

• Bangla: নিকটবর্তী; কাছে

Example

• The day of my brother's marriage is drawing near.

  • এখানে near একটি adverb, কারণ এটি drawing verb-কে modify করছে।

• To do away with
English Meaning: put an end to / remove/to get rid of.
Bangla Meaning: সমাপ্তি টানা / বিনাশ সাধন করা

Ex. Sentence: These ridiculous rules and regulations should have been done away with years ago.
Bangla Meaning: এসব অবান্তর আইন কানুন অনেক আগেই বিলুপ্ত করা উচিত ছিলো।
