Alliteration (অনুপ্রাস)

• যখন পাশাপাশি ব্যবহৃত শব্দগুলোর শুরুতে একই ব্যঞ্জনধ্বনি বারবার আসে, তখন তাকে Alliteration বলে।

• সহজভাবে বলতে গেলে—একই consonant sound বারবার পুনরাবৃত্তি হওয়াই Alliteration।

উদাহরণ:

1. "The fair breeze blew, the white foam flew,
   The furrow followed free."
   এখানে ‘f’ এবং ‘b’ ধ্বনির পুনরাবৃত্তি হয়েছে।

2. "Puffs, powders, patches, Bibles, billet-doux."
   এখানে ‘p’ তিনবার এবং ‘b’ দুইবার এসেছে, তাই এটি Alliteration-এর উদাহরণ।

Personification (ব্যক্তিরূপ দান)

• যখন জড় বস্তু, প্রাণহীন জিনিস বা বিমূর্ত ধারণাকে মানুষের গুণাবলি দেওয়া হয়, তখন তাকে Personification বলে।

• অর্থাৎ কোনো lifeless object বা idea-কে জীবন্ত সত্তার মতো প্রকাশ করা।

উদাহরণ:
"There lies the port: the vessel puffs her sail:" (Tennyson, Ulysses)
এখানে জাহাজকে (vessel) একজন জীবন্ত মানুষের মতো কল্পনা করা হয়েছে।

Rhyme (ছন্দ/অন্ত্যমিল)

• দুই বা ততোধিক শব্দের শেষে একই রকম ধ্বনি থাকলে সেটাকে Rhyme বলে।

• কবিতায় Rhyme পাঠকের কানে সুরেলা শোনায় এবং stanza বা স্তবকের গঠনকে একত্র করে।

Onomatopoeia (অনুকার শব্দ)

• কোনো শব্দ যদি সেই শব্দের আসল শব্দধ্বনি অনুকরণ করে তৈরি হয়, তবে তাকে Onomatopoeia বলে।

• বাংলায় একে অনুকার অব্যয় বলা হয়।

উদাহরণ:

• বৃষ্টির ঝমঝম

• ঘড়ির টিকটক

• বাতাসের শনশন

যেমন ইংরেজিতে বলা হয়—“The clock goes tick-tock.” → এখানে tick-tock শব্দটি ঘড়ির শব্দকে অনুকরণ করছে।

• Capricious (Adjective)
English Meaning: Likely to change, or reacting to a sudden desire or new idea.
Bangla Meaning: খেয়ালি; চপল; লোলচিত্ত; অস্থিরমতি।

Synonyms:
- Fickle (দৃঢ়ভাবে অনুগত নয় এমন), Inconstant (অস্থিরচিত্ত), Variable (পরিবর্তনশীল), Fluctuating (ওঠানামা করা), Temperamental (সংবেদনশীল)। 
Antonyms:
- Stable (সহজে পরিবর্তনীয় নয়), Consistent (সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ), Settled (স্থির), Steady (দৃঢ়), Unvarying (অপরিবর্তনীয়)। 

Other Forms:
- Capriciously (adjective) খেয়ালখুশিমতো; মর্জিমাফিক।

Example Sentence: 
1. We have had very capricious weather lately
2. The court ruled that the punishment was arbitrary and capricious.

• easily annoyed or upset: irritable or petulant, Cranky.
• wise and willing to cooperate - Compliant.
• exceedingly conceited and arrogant - Pompous.

• Ulysses (Poem):

• Written in blank verse, the poem was composed in 1833 and published in the two-volume collection Poems (1842).
