The Victorian Period (1832–1901)

  • ইংরেজি সাহিত্যের 19শ শতাব্দীকে Victorian Period বলা হয়।

  • নামকরণ Queen Victoria-এর নামে। যদিও তিনি 1837 সালে সিংহাসনে বসেন, সাহিত্যিক পরিবর্তন 1832 সাল থেকে লক্ষ্য করা যায়।

  • Fabian Society 1883 সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়, শ্রেণী সংগ্রামে হিংসা এড়াতে। G.B. Shaw ছিলেন এর সদস্য।
