Foil মানে হলো বিপরীত চরিত্র, যার মাধ্যমে মূল চরিত্রের গুণ স্পষ্ট হয়। Darcy গম্ভীর, নীতিবান ও দায়িত্বশীল। তার বিপরীতে Wickham মোহনীয় কিন্তু প্রতারক। প্রথমে Elizabeth ও পাঠক Wickham-কে আকর্ষণীয় ভাবে দেখে, আর Darcy-কে অহংকারী ভাবে।

কিন্তু পরে সত্য প্রকাশ পায়—Darcy আসলে নৈতিকভাবে শক্তিশালী, আর Wickham দুর্নীতিগ্রস্ত। এই বিপরীতে Austen দেখান, সত্যিকার ভদ্রতা বাহ্যিক আচরণে নয়, নৈতিকতায়।

Singular and Plural Usage:

1. Harry Potter → Singular Number

   • কোনো বইয়ের নাম বা বিশেষ নাম সাধারণত Singular হিসেবে ধরা হয়।

2. কিছু শব্দ সবসময় Plural হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

     • Cattle
