কবিতার শুরুতেই কিটস সাইকিকে “latest-born and loveliest vision” বলে বর্ণনা করেন। এর মাধ্যমে তিনি বোঝান যে সাইকি ছিল গ্রিক পুরাণের শেষদিকের দেবী এবং সবচেয়ে সুন্দর। কিটস তাঁকে স্বপ্নের মতো মাধুর্যময় রূপে কল্পনা করেছেন।
