- ১৫৯৯-১৬০১ সালের মধ্যে লেখা এই tragedy টি প্রকাশিত হয় 1603 সালে।

- এর কেন্দ্রীয় চরিত্র Prince Hamlet ছিলেন 'prince of Denmark' যিনি  জার্মানি থেকে নিজ দেশে ফিরে আসে তাঁর বাবার শেষকৃত্যে অংশগ্রহণ  করতে এবং জানতে পারে যে তার চাচা Claudius তার মাকে বিয়ে করেছে এবং এই চাচাই তার বাবার খুনী।
