Causative Verb Rule (using “Make”):

1. Definition: A Causative Verb is used when the subject does not do the action itself but causes someone else to do it. Common causative verbs include Have, Get, Help, Let, Make.

2. Using “Make”:

   • After Make, the person or object comes next, followed by the base form of the verb.

   • “Make” implies compelling someone to do something, stronger than “Have” or “Get”.

Example:

• Correct Sentence: The news made me cry.

  • Here, “me” is the object and “cry” is the base form of the verb.

  • The news caused me to cry; I did not choose to do it independently.

According to The Oxford dictionary,

ক) Number (noun) (পরিমাণ বা অঙ্ক; সংখ্যা) - An arithmetical value, expressed by a word, symbol, or figure, representing a particular quantity and used in counting and making calculations.
- Number (Verb) (সংখ্যা দ্বারা চিহ্নিত করা; সংখ্যা দেওয়া)
- Amount to (a specified figure or quantity); comprise.

 খ) Enumerate (verb)  গণনা করা; এক এক করে নামোল্লেখ করা
- it itself is a different verb that is similar to the verb 'number'

গ) Numbering (verb)-  চিহ্নিত করা; সংখ্যাগণনা করা; সংখ্যা দেত্তয়া;
- This is the continuous form or gerund of the verb "number." It denotes an ongoing action.
- For example, "He is numbering the pages of the manuscript."

ঘ) Numerical(adjective) সংখ্যাবিষয়ক; সংখ্যাভুক্ত; সংখ্যাসূচক।

• Number এবং Numbering উভয়ই verb form এ রয়েছে কিন্তু tense ভেদে এরা ভিন্ন ভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- কিন্তু যদি number এর base verb form জানতে চাওয়া হয় তবে সেক্ষেত্রে Number অধিক গ্রহণ যোগ্য।
- যদি number এর ongoing or continous form জানতে চাওয়া হয়, তখন সেক্ষেত্রে numbering গ্রহণযোগ্য।
- প্রদত্ত প্রশ্নে parts of speech এর interchange এর ভিত্তিতে যেহেতু number এর verb form জানতে চাওয়া হয়েছে, তাই অধিক গ্রহণ যোগ্য উত্তর হিসেবে number উত্তর রাখা হয়েছে।
