Die from - প্রতিক্রিয়ার জন্য মারা যাওয়া, কোন কিছুর জন্য মারা যাওয়া, অতিরিক্ত কম/অতিরিক্ত বেশি এমন কিছুর প্রভাবে মারা যাওয়া। যেমন-
He died from hunger.
He died from overeating.
He unfortunately died from overtaking.

“Tania was a wonderful singer, but she's past her prime” বাক্যে past শব্দটি her prime এর আগে অবস্থান করছে এবং বাক্যের অন্য অংশের সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক তৈরি করছে। তাই এখানে past হলো preposition।

• Past (Preposition)

  • অর্থ: সময়ের পর; কোনো ঘটনার পরে (beyond in time; later than)

  • উদাহরণ: She is past her prime.

  • ব্যাখ্যা: যখন কোনো noun বা pronoun এর আগে আসে এবং বাক্যে সম্পর্ক নির্দেশ করে, তখন এটি preposition হয়।

অন্য ধরণের ব্যবহার:

1. Past (Noun)

   • অর্থ: অতীত, আগে কেটেছে এমন সময়

   • উদাহরণ: People should not live in the past.

   • ব্যাখ্যা: এখানে past একটি noun, কারণ এটি preposition-এর পরে ব্যবহার হয়েছে।

2. Past (Adverb)

   • অর্থ: পেরিয়ে; ছাড়িয়ে (so as to pass from one side of something to the other)

   • উদাহরণ: I called out to him as he ran past.

   • ব্যাখ্যা: এখানে past শব্দটি ran কে modify করছে, তাই এটি adverb।

3. Past (Adjective)

   • অর্থ: অতীতের; আগের

   • উদাহরণ: The past events shaped her perspective on life.

   • ব্যাখ্যা: এখানে past events শব্দকে describe করছে, তাই এটি adjective।

Phone শব্দটির পূর্বে preposition হিসাবে by বসে।
- কিন্তু the phone এর পূর্বে over/on, preposition হিসাবে বসে।
- যেহেতু প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যটিতে phone এর পুর্বে 'the' বসে নি, তাই সঠিক উত্তর হবে - by.
