• ইংরেজি অর্থ: কোনো বিষয়কে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বা মনোযোগযোগ্য করে তোলা।

• বাংলা অর্থ: গুরুত্ব বোঝাতে কোনো শব্দ বা বিষয়ের উপর জোর দেওয়া; গুরুত্বারোপ করা।

• Emphasis (noun)

• ইংরেজি অর্থ: কোনো কিছুর ওপর বিশেষ গুরুত্ব বা মনোযোগ প্রদান।

• বাংলা অর্থ: কোনো শব্দ বা বিষয়কে বিশেষভাবে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া বা তার উপর জোর দেওয়া।

• Parts of speech অনুযায়ী ব্যবহার:

He said, “I came yesterday”.
➤ এখানে "came" হলো Past Indefinite Tense।
➤ "yesterday" সময়সূচক শব্দ।

❖ যখন এই বাক্যটিকে Indirect Speech-এ রূপান্তর করবো, তখন নিয়ম অনুযায়ী:

• Past Indefinite → Past Perfect হয়ে যাবে।

• yesterday → the previous day হয়ে যাবে।

He said that he had come the previous day.

  • yesterday → the previous day

  • today → that day

  • now → then

  • tomorrow → the next day

অপশন অনুযায়ী শব্দগুলোর অর্থ:

ক) confusion

• ইংরেজি অর্থ: Uncertainty about what is happening, intended, or required.

• বাংলা অর্থ: বিভ্রান্তি; গোলমাল; অজানা পরিস্থিতিতে দ্বিধা; সিদ্ধান্তহীন অবস্থা।

খ) idiosyncratic

• ইংরেজি অর্থ: relating to idiosyncrasy; peculiar or individual.

• বাংলা অর্থ: ব্যক্তির নিজস্ব স্বভাব বা অনন্য বৈশিষ্ট্য; স্বতন্ত্র চিন্তাভাবনা বা আচরণ।

গ) personifying

• ইংরেজি অর্থ: represent (a quality or concept) by a figure in human form.

• বাংলা অর্থ: মানব আকারে কোনো গুণ বা ধারণা প্রকাশ করা; ব্যক্তিত্বপূর্ণ করা।

ঘ) purifying

• ইংরেজি অর্থ: extract something from.

• বাংলা অর্থ: বিশুদ্ধ করা; অশুদ্ধি দূর করা।

সঠিক শব্দ নির্বাচন:
উপরের অর্থগুলো অনুযায়ী, শূন্যস্থানে “idiosyncratic” শব্দটি বসালে বাক্যটি সম্পূর্ণ হবে।

• Complete sentence: The film was directed in the director's usual idiosyncratic style.

• বাংলা অর্থ: ছবিটি পরিচালকের নিজস্ব অনন্য এবং বৈশিষ্ট্যপূর্ণ শৈলীতে পরিচালিত হয়েছিল।
