According to the report ‘Asian Development Outlook 2019’, Bangladesh’s economy is in good shape and is expected to continue growing.

• The country is confident of surpassing the 8 percent growth threshold in the current fiscal year, driven mainly by the manufacturing and service sectors.

• Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal stated that the growth rate for fiscal 2018-19 is projected to be 8.13 percent, up from 7.86 percent in the previous year.
