Parallelism হলো যখন কোনো বাক্যে ধারাবাহিক কিছু তথ্য বা কাজ উল্লেখ করা হয়, তখন প্রত্যেক তথ্যকে একই ধরনের গঠন বা part of speech ব্যবহার করে সাজানো হয়। এটি বাক্যকে সুষম এবং পাঠযোগ্য করে তোলে।

Parallelism এর নিয়ম:

• And, or, but, be verb ইত্যাদির আগে এবং পরে সমজাতীয় parts of speech বসতে হবে।

• Both...and, Not only...but also, Either...or, Neither...nor ইত্যাদি correlatives এর উভয় পাশে সমজাতীয় parts of speech বসতে হবে।

• উদাহরণস্বরূপ, যদি একটি অংশ noun হয়, অন্যগুলোও noun হবে; যদি adjective হয়, সবগুলো adjective হবে।

• Infinitive বা Gerund ব্যবহার করলে সবগুলো অংশ একই রূপের Infinitive বা Gerund হবে।

Use of Not only...but also:

• Not only যদি subject-এর আগে বসে, তাহলে But also ও subject-এর আগে বসবে।

• Not only যদি object-এর আগে বসে, তাহলে But also ও object-এর আগে বসবে।
