Hamlet’s Soliloquies

• Hamlet delivers seven soliloquies in the play:

  1. O that this too too sullied flesh would melt

  2. O all you host of heaven

  3. O, what a rogue and peasant slave am I

  4. To be, or not to be

  5. 'Tis given out that, sleeping, I was murdered

  6. Now might I do it pat

  7. How all occasions do inform against me

• These soliloquies reveal:

  • Hamlet’s inner thoughts

  • His emotional state

  • His evolving understanding of his situation

• Quasi-passive যুক্ত Active voice কে passive এ রূপান্তর করার নিয়ম:

• প্রথম নিয়ম:
- Active voice এর subject টিই passive voice এ subject হিসেবে বসে।
- Tense অনুযায়ী Auxiliary verb বসে।
- Adjective টি বসে।
- when বসে।
- প্রথম subject অনুযায়ী it/they বসে।
- আবারো tense অনুযায়ী সাহায্যকারী verb বসে।
- মূল verb এর past participle বসে।

• দ্বিতীয় নিয়ম:
- Active voice এর subject টিই passive voice এ subject হিসেবে বসে।
- Tense অনুযায়ী Auxiliary verb বসে।
- মূল verb এর past participle বসে।
- Adjective টি বসে।

Active: Rice sells cheap.
Passive: Rice is cheap when it is sold.
Or,
Passive: Rice is sold cheap.

Number (সংখ্যা)

সংজ্ঞা:

• Number হলো কোন ব্যক্তি, বস্তু বা প্রাণীর সংখ্যাকে নির্দেশ করা।

প্রধান দুই প্রকার:

1. Singular Number (একবচন) – এক ব্যক্তি, এক বস্তু বা এক প্রাণী

2. Plural Number (বহুবচন) – একাধিক ব্যক্তি, বস্তু বা প্রাণী

বিশেষ নিয়মাবলী:

১. সবসময় Singular হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত কিছু শব্দ:

• Information

• Furniture

• Scenery

• Poetry

• News

• Athletics

২. সবসময় Plural হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত কিছু শব্দ:

• Cattle

• People

• Police

• Folk

• Swine

• Vermin
