শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক ক্রিয়া হলো “wins”। সম্পূর্ণ বাক্যটি হয়:

“Slow and steady wins the race.”

কারণ:

1. সমজাতীয় একাধিক noun:

   • এখানে “slow and steady” দুটি সমজাতীয় noun বা ধারণা।

   • যখন এমন সমজাতীয় noun একসাথে ব্যবহার করা হয় এবং তারা একক ধারণাকে বোঝায়, তখন সেটিকে singular ধরা হয়।

   • সেক্ষেত্রে verb-ও singular হয়।

2. প্রবাদ হিসেবে ব্যাবহার:

   • এটি একটি সুপরিচিত প্রবাদ। প্রবাদগুলো সাধারণত singular ফর্মে ধরা হয়।

   • তাই, শূন্যস্থানে “wins” বসানোই সঠিক।

বাংলা অর্থ: কাউকে ভূপাতিত করা বা ফেলে দেওয়া।

ইংরেজি অর্থ: কোনো ভবন বা গঠনমূলক বস্তু ধ্বংস করা।
বাংলা অর্থ: ভেঙে ফেলা; সম্পূর্ণ ধ্বংস করা।

অপশনে উল্লেখিত শব্দগুলোর অর্থ হলো—
ক) incident — কোনো ঘটনা বা উপাখ্যান।
খ) occurrence — কোনো ঘটনা।

The comparison of unlike things using the words like on as is known to be a simile.

• Simile:
• An explicit comparison between two different things is called - Simile 
- Usually as and like are used in it. In simile the resemblance is explicitly indicated by the words.
- দুটি ভিন্নধর্মী জিনিসের মধ্যে As  ও Like দ্বারা তুলনা বোঝালে তাকে Simile বলে।
- উপমেয়ের সাথে উপমানের সাদৃশ্য কল্পনা করা।
Ex: 'The bride hath paced into the hall, Red as a rose is she'.
Love is like a battlefield.

• Metaphor:
• Metaphor is an implicit comparison between two different things.
- যখন কোনো বাক্যে দুটি ভিন্ন বা বিজাতীয় জিনিসের মাঝে পরোক্ষভাবে বা রূপকার্থে তুলনা করা হয় তাকে বলা হয় Metaphor.
- সাধারণত Metaphor দ্বারা এমন দুইটি জিনিসের মধ্যে তুলনা দেওয়া হয় যারা একই রকম বা সদৃশ নয় কিন্তু তাদের মধ্যে কিছু সাধারণ মিল থাকে।
- উদাহরণ - 
- Life is but a walking shadow.
- "She's all states, and all princes, I"

• Explanation: 'I am a phoenix, rising from the ash' - উল্লেখ্য উক্তিটি কবি Sylvia Plath এর "Lady Lazarus" হতে উধৃত করা হয়েছে।
- এখানে কবি নিজেকে পাখির সাথে তুলনা করেছেন যার জন্ম হয়েছে ছাই থেকে।

• Difference Between Metaphor and Simile
- It can be difficult in some instances to distinguish between metaphor and simile as literary devices.
- উভয় figures of speech দ্বারাই দুটি ভিন্ন বা বিজাতীয় জিনিসের মাঝে পরোক্ষভাবে বা রূপকার্থে তুলনা নির্দেশ করে।
- বলা যেতে পারে,  simile is a subset of metaphor.
- দুটির মধ্যে পার্থক্য নিরূপনের একটি সহজ উপায় হচ্ছে - Simile তে তুলনার ক্ষেত্রে As  ও Like দ্বারা তুলনাটি বুঝানো হয়, কিন্তু Metaphor এর ক্ষেত্রে As or Like হয় উল্লেখ না করে সরাসরিই তুলনা নির্দেশ করা হয়।
- যেমন:
Simile: I wandered lonely as a cloud.
Metaphor: Revenge is a wild justice.

- The Repetition of a consonant at the beginning of two or more words or stressed syllables is called Alliteration.
- যখন পরস্পর সম্পর্কযুক্ত বা পাশাপাশি স্থাপিত শব্দের শুরুতে একই বর্ণ বা একই ধরনের উচ্চারণ থাকে তাকে অনুপ্রাস (Alliteration) বলে।

• Examples of Alliteration -
1.
'The fair breeze blew, the white foam flew,
The furrow followed free.'
- এখানে 'f' এবং 'b' দ্বারা শুরু হওয়া শব্দ পাশাপাশি বসেছে অর্থাৎ consonant sound এর repetition ঘটেছে।
2.
'Puffs, powders, patches, Bibles, billet-doux' is an example of Alleteration.
Here 'p' has been repeated thrice and 'b' twice.

• Personification: (ব্যক্তিরূপ দান)
- A figure of speech in which lifeless objects or ideas are given imaginary life.
- Giving human qualities to non-human entities or abstract concepts
- অর্থাৎ নির্জীব বা জড় বস্তুকে ব্যক্তিরূপে প্রয়োগ করার কৌশল।
- Personification এর মাধ্যমে কোন জড় বস্তুকে কাল্পনিক জীবন দান করে সেগুলোকে উপমা হিসাবে লেখায় ব্যবহার করা হয়।

''There lies the port: the vessel puffs her sail:
(Tennyson: ''Ulysses'')
- এখানে vessel কে জীবন্ত সত্ত্বার সাথে তুলনা করা হয়েছে।
