অতীতে দুটো কাজের মধ্যে যখন একটি কাজ অন্য কাজের আগে ঘটে, তখন আগে ঘটে যাওয়া কাজটি Past Perfect Tense এ হয়।

Before দিয়ে দুই কাজের সময় বোঝানোর সময়, before এর আগে Past Perfect Tense ব্যবহার হয় এবং before এর পরে Past Indefinite Tense ব্যবহার হয়।
