Scenery (স্নেরি) — বিশেষ্য
ইংরেজিতে অর্থ: প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশের সাধারণ চেহারা, বিশেষত যখন তা মনোরম ও সুন্দর হয়।
বাংলায় অর্থ: কোনো অঞ্চলের স্বাভাবিক পরিবেশ বা দৃশ্যাবলী, যা নৈসর্গিক সৌন্দর্যে ভরপুর।

→ Scenery একটি অপরিমেয় (uncountable) বিশেষ্য, তাই এর শেষে সাধারণত কোনো বহুবচন সূচক s বা es যুক্ত হয় না, এটি সর্বদা একবচন আকারে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
→ অপরিমেয় বিশেষ্যগুলো সাধারণত সর্বদা একবচন হিসেবে গণ্য হয় এবং plural আকারে ব্যবহার হয় না।
→ এই ধরনের শব্দের আগে সাধারণত article (a, an) বা সংখ্যাবাচক শব্দ ব্যবহার করা হয় না।

যখন অতীতে একটি ঘটনা ঘটার সময় অন্য একটি কাজ চলমান ছিল, তখন চলমান কাজটি past continuous tense-এ প্রকাশ করা হয়। যদি প্রধান কাজটি past indefinite tense-এ হয় এবং তা as দ্বারা যুক্ত হয় কারণ বোঝাতে, তবে প্রথম অংশটি চলমান অবস্থার কারণে past continuous হয়।

এই ব্যাকরণিক কাঠামো অনুযায়ী, এখানে "was shining" ব্যবহৃত হওয়াই যথাযথ।
