Preposition ব্যবহারে এর নিয়ম

"Phone" বা "telephone" শব্দের আগে কোন preposition বসবে, তা ব্যবহারের ধরন অনুযায়ী নির্ভর করে। যদি বোঝানো হয় “ফোনের মাধ্যমে”, তখন by phone বা by telephone ব্যবহার হয়। যেমন: Rizvi requested Rini by telephone to attend the meeting. আবার, কারো সাথে ফোনে কথা বলা বোঝাতে on the phone ব্যবহার হয়।

যেমন: She is on the phone now. অন্যদিকে, over the phone বোঝায় ফোনে কথোপকথনের সময় কিছু আলোচনা হচ্ছে। যেমন: They will discuss the matter over the phone. তাই প্রশ্নে “telephone” থাকায় সঠিক preposition হবে by।

স্মরণযোগ্য উদাহরণ

• By phone: The manager will inform us by phone.

• Over the phone: They solved the issue over the phone.

• On the phone: He is still on the phone.

• শূন্যস্থানে  সঠিক উত্তর - he had known
- Complete sentence: Shaheen would never have taken the job if he had known what great demand it would make on his time.
• বাক্যটি Third conditional এর উদাহরণ।

 • 3rd Conditional এর নিয়মানুযায়ী,
- If-এর পর Past Perfect Tense থাকলে পরবর্তী Sentence টিতে Past Perfect Conditional বসে।
- অর্থাৎ, would have/could have + verb-এর Past Participle form হয়।
- Structure: If + Past Perfect Tense + Past Perfect Conditional.
 -Example: If you had come, I would have gone there.

• অথবা, 
- Conditional sentence এ Had + Sub + V3 + Extension এভাবে কোন sentence শুরু হলে সেটি Perfect conditional / 3rd conditional হয়।
- Had I known about the traffic, I would have left earlier.

নিম্নলিখিত শব্দগুলো যেমন — already, just, yet, recently, lately, ever, just now, still — সাধারণত present perfect tense নির্দেশ করে। অর্থাৎ, যখন কোনো বাক্যে এই ধরনের নির্দেশক শব্দ ব্যবহার হয়, তখন সেই বাক্যটি অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রে present perfect tense-এ থাকে।

Present perfect tense-এর গঠন হলো:
Subject + has/have + verb এর past participle + object
উদাহরণ:
Meera has met her mother just now.

পূর্ণ বাক্য:
Just now he has had his dinner, but he says he will see you when he's finished.

এইভাবেই নির্দেশক শব্দের উপস্থিতি বাক্যের সময়গত দিক নির্দেশ করে এবং বাক্যের present perfect tense হওয়ার পরিচয় দেয়।
