Before দিয়ে যুক্ত দুটি clause-এর টেন্স ব্যবহারের সহজ নিয়ম
যদি দুটি clause "before" দিয়ে যুক্ত হয়, তাহলে টেন্সের নির্দিষ্ট নিয়ম থাকে।
প্রথম নিয়ম: যদি "before" এর আগের অংশে Past Perfect Tense থাকে, তাহলে পরের অংশে Past Indefinite Tense হয়।

এখানে “had written” হলো Past Perfect এবং “retired” হলো Past Indefinite।
আরেকটি উদাহরণ: We had reached the school before the bell rang.
দ্বিতীয় নিয়ম: যদি "before" দিয়ে যুক্ত প্রথম অংশ Future Perfect Tense হয়, তাহলে পরের অংশে Present Indefinite Tense হয়।
যেমন: We shall have reached the school before the bell rings.
এইভাবে before দিয়ে যুক্ত দুই অংশের মধ্যে কোন টেন্স বসবে তা নির্ভর করে প্রথম অংশের টেন্সের উপর।
