The sentence "This could have worked if I had been more far-sighted" মূলত third conditional structure ব্যবহার করছে, যা অতীতে ঘটতে পারত এমন hypothetical situation বা কাল্পনিক পরিস্থিতি বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

নিম্নলিখিত শব্দগুলো যেমন — already, just, yet, recently, lately, ever, just now, still — সাধারণত present perfect tense নির্দেশ করে। অর্থাৎ, যখন কোনো বাক্যে এই ধরনের নির্দেশক শব্দ ব্যবহার হয়, তখন সেই বাক্যটি অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রে present perfect tense-এ থাকে।

Present perfect tense-এর গঠন হলো:
Subject + has/have + verb এর past participle + object
উদাহরণ:
Meera has met her mother just now.

পূর্ণ বাক্য:
Just now he has had his dinner, but he says he will see you when he's finished.

এইভাবেই নির্দেশক শব্দের উপস্থিতি বাক্যের সময়গত দিক নির্দেশ করে এবং বাক্যের present perfect tense হওয়ার পরিচয় দেয়।

শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - a little.
Complete sentence: I still have a little money.
 
• Uncountable noun এর সাথে little, a little, much, less...than ইত্যাদি বসে।
- Money হলো Uncountable noun.
তাই এর পূর্বে determiner হিসাবে a little বসবে।

• Little- নেই বললেই চলে = Negative
- There is little water in the glass. (পানি নেই বললেই চলে)

• A little- আছে কিন্তু খুবই অল্প = Positive

• The little- অনেক নয়; কিন্তু যারা আছে সবটুকুই
- The little knowledge he has is adequate to pass the test.
