• Paragraph (অনুচ্ছেদ):

  • একটি লেখার অনুচ্ছেদে দুটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উপাদান থাকতে হবে: Cohesion এবং Coherence

1. Cohesion (আসঞ্জন)

• অর্থ: একত্রে লেগে থাকার অবস্থা; যে শক্তিবলে অংশগুলো পরস্পর যুক্ত থাকে

• একটি paragraph-এ cohesion তখন থাকে যখন প্রতিটি sentence পরবর্তী sentence-এর সাথে স্পষ্টভাবে যুক্ত থাকে

• এটি words, phrases, এবং sentences-এর মধ্যে smooth connection তৈরি করে

2. Coherence (সঙ্গতি/প্রাঞ্জলতা)

• English Meaning: Systematic or logical connection; the situation when parts fit together naturally

• Bangla Meaning: একত্র আসঞ্জনশীল বা সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ

• লেখায় coherence নিশ্চিত করার জন্য সমস্ত ধারণা যৌক্তিকভাবে এবং ধারাবাহিকভাবে সাজানো প্রয়োজন

• এর মাধ্যমে পাঠক সহজেই লেখার বিষয়বস্তু বুঝতে পারে; লেখাটি প্রাঞ্জল এবং সুসংগত মনে হয়

• Wane (Verb, Noun)

• English Meaning: To decrease gradually in strength, intensity, or importance.

• Bangla Meaning: ক্রমশ হ্রাস পাওয়া; দুর্বলতর বা কমে যাওয়া।

• Synonyms: Subside, Diminish, Decrease, Decline

• Antonyms: Rise, Grow, Increase, Intensify

• Options Explanation:

  • Relish – রুচি; স্বাদ

  • Coarse – অসূক্ষ্ম; অমার্জিত

  • Increase – বৃদ্ধি; উপচয়

  • Decline – দুর্বলতর হওয়া; হ্রাস পাওয়া (সঠিক সমার্থক)

বাক্যটি “A steady bread and butter is necessary to support a family” থেকে বোঝা যায় যে একটি স্থিতিশীল জীবিকা পরিবারের জন্য অপরিহার্য। নিচে বিস্তারিত ব্যাখ্যা দেওয়া হলো।

• Bread and butter একটি idiomatic expression, যার অর্থ হলো জীবিকা বা আয়ের প্রধান উৎস; the way someone earns the money needed to live।

• যদিও “bread” এবং “butter” দুটি পৃথক শব্দ, একসাথে এটি singular অর্থ বহন করে।

• এজন্য এর সাথে is ব্যবহার করা হয়, কারণ এটি একটি বিষয় বোঝায় — অর্থাৎ জীবিকা।

• বাক্যটি ব্যাকরণগত এবং অর্থগত দিক থেকে সঠিকভাবে গঠিত হয়েছে is ব্যবহারে।

• Other options:

  • ক) are – singular অর্থে ব্যবহারের জন্য ভুল।

  • গ) being – বাক্যের গঠন অনুযায়ী অপ্রাসঙ্গিক এবং ভুল।

  • ঘ) have – বহুবচনের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, এখানে উপযুক্ত নয়।
