Present Subjunctive ব্যবহৃত হয় চাওয়া, ইচ্ছা, পরামর্শ বা প্রয়োজন প্রকাশ করার জন্য, সাধারণত subordinate clause-এ। এই ক্ষেত্রে verb-এর Base form ব্যবহার করা হয়।

• সাধারণত এই নিয়ম প্রযোজ্য এমন verbs-এর সাথে: advise, necessary, ask, command, recommend, demand, urge, propose, suggest, insist, prefer, request, require ইত্যাদি।

• Subordinate clause-এ verb সর্বদা base form থাকবে।

• Negative হলে base form-এর আগে শুধু not বসবে।

• Be verb থাকলে subordinate clause-এ শুধু be ব্যবহার হবে।

Structure: Subject + verb (any tense) + that + subject + verb (base form) + extension

• Other Options:

• খ) takes off – মানে উড়ে যাওয়া / ছুটি নেওয়া / কাপড় খোলা (e.g., The plane takes off at 5).

• গ) takes after – পরিবারের কারো মতো হওয়া (চেহারায় বা স্বভাবে)।

• ঘ) takes over – নিয়ন্ত্রণ নেওয়া (e.g., He took over the company).
