• ১৫৯৯-১৬০১ সালের মধ্যে লেখা tragedy টি ১৬০৩ সালে প্রকাশিত হয়।

• কেন্দ্রীয় চরিত্র Hamlet, ডেনমার্কের রাজপুত্র, যিনি জার্মানি থেকে দেশে ফিরে এসে বাবার শেষকৃত্যে অংশগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি জানতে পারেন, তার চাচা Claudius তার মাকে বিয়ে করেছে এবং এই চাচাই তার বাবার খুনী।
