ইংরেজি সাহিত্যের Renaissance Period (১৫০০–১৬৬০) ছিল একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সময়কাল, যা মূলত Renaissance spirit দ্বারা চিহ্নিত, অর্থাৎ মানবিকতা, জ্ঞানচেতনা ও সৃজনশীলতার পুনর্জাগরণের যুগ। যদিও Renaissance যুগের সূচনা হয়েছিল ১৪৫৩ সালে, ইংরেজি সাহিত্যে এর প্রভাব ১৫০০ সালের পর থেকে স্পষ্টভাবে দেখা যায়। এই সময়কালকে মোট চারটি ছোট সময়কালে ভাগ করা হয়।

  • Elizabethan Age: ১৫৫৮–১৬০৩

  • Jacobean Age: ১৬০৩–১৬২৫

  • Caroline Age: ১৬২৫–১৬৪৯
