Get along with মানে হলো কারো সাথে বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ বা ভালো সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখা। সহজভাবে বললে, এটি বোঝায় একে অপরের সঙ্গে মিলেমিশে থাকা, মানিয়ে চলা বা খাপ খাওয়ানো।

উদাহরণস্বরূপ:
They seem to get along pretty well.
বাংলা অর্থ: মনে হচ্ছে, তারা একে অপরের সঙ্গে বেশ ভালোভাবে মানিয়ে চলে।

এখানে “get along with” বলতে বোঝানো হয়েছে কাউকে বুঝে চলা বা সুসম্পর্কে থাকা। এটি বিশেষ করে বন্ধু, সহপাঠী বা সহকর্মীদের সঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

তবে খেয়াল রাখতে হবে,

• “to accompany” মানে সঙ্গী হওয়া,

• “to walk” মানে হাঁটা,

• “to interest” মানে মনোযোগ আকর্ষণ করা।

এই শব্দগুলোর অর্থ “get along with” থেকে আলাদা। তাই সঠিক অর্থ বুঝে ব্যবহার করাটাই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
