Complex বাক্যকে Compound-এ রূপান্তর করার ক্ষেত্রে কিছু নির্দিষ্ট নিয়ম রয়েছে। যদি Complex sentence-এ that clause থাকে, অর্থাৎ কোনো clause যদি that দিয়ে শুরু হয়, তবে Compound-এ রূপান্তর করার সময় that-এর পরের clause আগে বসে, তারপর and যোগ হয়, এবং শেষে that-এর আগের clause লিখে শেষে it/this যোগ করতে হয়।

Complex: I know that he is honest.
Compound: He is honest and I know it.
Complex: He said that he had gone to Khulna.
Compound: He had gone to Khulna and he said this.

ক) She said but she was tired.
- এটি একটি Compound Sentence যেখানে দুটি স্বাধীন বাক্য but দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়েছে।
