Adjective হলো সেই শব্দ যা কোনো Noun বা Pronoun-এর গুণ, দোষ, সংখ্যা, পরিমাণ, অবস্থা ইত্যাদি প্রকাশ করে।

উদাহরণস্বরূপ, "falling" শব্দটি noun "star" এর গুণ বা অবস্থাকে প্রকাশ করছে, তাই এটি একটি adjective।

সাধারণত, যদি determiner, article, preposition বা possessive এর পরে একটি শব্দ আসে, তবে সেটি noun।

আর যদি দুটি শব্দ আসে, তাহলে শেষের শব্দটি noun এবং পূর্বেরটি adjective হয়।
