বাক্য "She seems to work harder when she's in a bad temper" এর অর্থ হলো যখন তার মেজাজ খারাপ থাকে, তখন সে আরও বেশি পরিশ্রম করে বলে মনে হয়।

• be in a bad, foul, etc. temper: ইংরেজিতে অর্থ হলো to be feeling angry। বাংলায় অর্থ রাগ অনুভব করা বা মেজাজ খারাপ থাকা।

• কিছু কিছু phrase-এ article হিসেবে a/an ব্যবহার করা হয়, যেমন: in a hurry, in a nutshell, in a fix, in a bad temper ইত্যাদি।

• গ) joined: দুটি জিনিসকে মিলিয়ে সংযুক্ত করা।

• ঘ) shortened: ছোট বা সংক্ষিপ্ত করা।

যদি বলা হয় “A chart was appended to the report,” এখানে appended শব্দের অর্থ হচ্ছে “joined” বা সংযুক্ত করা। অর্থাৎ, একটি চার্ট রিপোর্টের শেষে যোগ করা হয়েছে।

- যেহেতু এটা cause & effect প্রকাশ করে, তাই সম্পূর্ণ বাক্যে একই tense হবে।
- প্রশ্নোক্ত বাক্যের প্রথম অংশে past tense থাকায় পরের অংশেও past tense হবে।
