Third Conditional নিয়মাবলী:

   • past হলো preposition, যা walking ক্রিয়াটির গতি বা দিক নির্দেশ করছে।
     সুতরাং, একটিমাত্র independent clause থাকার কারণে এটি একটি Simple Sentence।

3. Complex Sentence-এর সংজ্ঞা অনুযায়ী, এতে একটি Principal Clause এবং এক বা একাধিক Subordinate Clause থাকে।

   • এই subordinate clause সাধারণত if, though, although, as, because, since, so that, that, until, till, unless, when, why, who, which, where, how, before, after, whether, while ইত্যাদি conjunction দ্বারা শুরু হয়।

   • উদাহরণ: All that glitters is not gold.
     এখানে “that glitters” একটি subordinate clause, তাই এটি complex sentence।

4. Compound Sentence-এ দুই বা ততোধিক Principal Clause বা Coordinate Clause থাকে।

   • এই clauses সাধারণত and, or, but, yet, so, therefore, otherwise, else, both…and, either…or, neither…nor, not only…but also ইত্যাদি coordinating conjunction দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়।

   • উদাহরণ: Do or die.
     এখানে do এবং die দুইটি principal clause, যা or দ্বারা যুক্ত, তাই এটি compound sentence।

5. অন্যান্য বাক্য বিশ্লেষণ:

   • All that glitters is not gold → Complex Sentence

   • All’s well that ends well → Complex Sentence

   • Do or die → Compound Sentence

   • I saw an old man walking past me → Simple Sentence

6. Simple Sentence-এর বৈশিষ্ট্য:

   • একটিমাত্র subject ও finite verb থাকে।

   • বাক্যটি এককভাবে সম্পূর্ণ অর্থ প্রকাশ করে।

   • subordinate বা coordinate clause থাকে না।

   • বাক্যটি স্পষ্ট, সরল ও সংক্ষিপ্ত হয়।

   • Principal clause-এর সাথে subordinate clause যুক্ত থাকে।

   • subordinate clause মূল ভাবের ওপর নির্ভরশীল।

   • সাধারণত conjunction ব্যবহৃত হয়।

8. Compound Sentence-এর বৈশিষ্ট্য:

   • একাধিক principal clause থাকে।

   • প্রতিটি clause স্বতন্ত্রভাবে অর্থবোধক হলেও conjunction দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়ে একটি যৌথ ভাব প্রকাশ করে।

সুতরাং, প্রদত্ত উদাহরণগুলোর মধ্যে I saw an old man walking past me একমাত্র বাক্য যা একটি স্বাধীন clause দ্বারা সম্পূর্ণ ভাব প্রকাশ করে, তাই এটি নিঃসন্দেহে একটি Simple Sentence।
